Lately

We’ve had a lot going on so I’m back from my blogging hiatus... for now. Where do I start...? Jack had a fever for about 5 days in a row and was an overall mess. Poor guy, we know he didn’t feel well but man it has been a week! Charlie got a little virus as well and a lovely rash showed up on Sunday night. Luckily his well visit was scheduled for Monday so of course I asked about it while we were there. Apparently rashes are normal in babies and it tells us a virus is on the way out of the body 🤷🏼‍♀️ otherwise, Charlie got a great report from the doctor. He weighs 18.8 pounds and is 26.7 inches tall (38 and 56 %tile). Soooo everyone that calls Charlie fat can stop because he’s just average lol. Last week mike started smelling something weird in the house and after lots of sniffing he discovered a mold/mildew problem in the wall in the dining room. We stayed with baba Sunday/Monday night so mike could take down the drywall and spray everything with bleach. It’s always something. 

In other news... I found new homes for Murphy and Stella 😩😩 it was so hard to bring them on Saturday to their new owners but I know they will get the love and attention they deserve. I can already feel a weight lifted off my shoulders but it sucks... we had them for 5 years 😢 Murphy is at a home with a massive yard with a man who wants a lap dog (totally Murphy). He has three people caring for him and plenty of love. Stella is with a lady, Dana, who loves animals! She works a lot but she will have a dog walker come everyday to give her some love. The best part? They will see each other every Saturday because Dana and Murphy’s new owner are friends and have pancakes on Saturdays. It still sucks... jack has only been asking about them occasionally.

My mom took jack to the mall for a bit today. He made this dog, they had lunch and he got to play for a bit. So fun!

Art show at school. It was super cute- they had all of their artwork up in the hallways for us to see.  My friend Sam had her baby (neighbors) and I’ve been trying to help out here and there. This was when she was still pregnant but we all went together to literacy night at the school so Sam could have a break. It was really cute.  Wanted every single bow in her hair for nighttime. None of them were in when she woke up.  Oh, poor jack. He had a realllly bad fall at the skate park. Blood everywhere, coming from his mouth and nose. I thought he broke his nose, lost some teeth, etc. we went to the dentist to make sure his mouth was ok and some how everything was ok. He got lucky! It was so hard to see him hit the ground and essentially face plant on the concrete. My mama heart was broken.  Some hot days! Back to the skate park 🤷🏼‍♀️ Field trip! His face healed realllly quickly We got Charlie a new mattress so we rode the old one down the stairs 🫣

Jack got one of the quarter award for all 4s on his report card! Lunch with mom and dad in the library!  Look at my handsome boy! He’s LOVING soccer.  Scoot all day everyday  They refuse to walk with us to school. My friend took this pic and sent it to me. Cuties  Wyatt helping Quinn cross the parking lot. Went in for lunch with the boys. Yes, the pizza is still the same from when we were kids.  Charlie changing Quinn’s diaper. But don’t worry, we are now potty trained!  I got a pedi on Mother’s Day and Quinn came. She freaking loved it.  Checking out how the washing machine works  Thais a good brother!  We got to bring cupcakes into Quinn’s class for snack. We sang to her and she felt super special :) Safety first  Quinn walked with Sam to pick up Harper the other day.  Quinn is 3!!!!! I figured this was probably the last birthday I could get away with keeping it low key so that’s what we did! A couple kids migrated to our yard and we had cupcakes :) And some sweaty fun  All she wanted was a dog that walks. Sorry bud it’s the closest thing you’ll ever have as a real dog 😂
