School!

Today was the first day of school for jack! Background story: We ran into a friend of mine at the pool at life time a couple weeks ago and she mentioned a friend of hers hosting preschool in her basement. Sooooo of course my ears perked up since we just found out jack’s school isn’t opening.  (The last time I found an alternative solution for school jack wasn’t allowed to join the basement preschool because mike is an ER nurse... ya know trained to keep himself safe... Don’t get me started).

Any who, the lady hosting asked her sons preschool teacher from last year to teach a couple kids and she said yes. So we went and checked it out last week and it’s perrrffeeccct. And affordable. Only downfall is it’s 22 mins away. Whatever. What else are we doing?

We have a group text chain going and we’re going to be as transparent as possible with each other. These are my people. Go about life... safely. It feels good. Jack had great things to say about school! They painted, went for a walk, had lunch, did a craft with cutting and gluing. It seems Like a perfect first day.

Charlie and I got some time to spend together which was awesome. I haven’t had alone time with him since March. He’s just so sweet and inquisitive and I feel bad we couldn’t get this 1:1 time sooner. Oh and the best part about this is Charlie can attend school on Fridays! We’re going to see how it goes and then make it a permanent thing. I’m so happy for him! He’s going to love it. After we dropped jack off Charlie was really sad. Which I get. They’ve gotten so close. Jack said: “ Charlie your backpack comes today so you can come with me next time.” He’s not wrong!

I asked jack what he wanted to be when he grows up. He gave me a funny look and was like buuuuuut I don’t want to be a grownup. I feel you buddy, sometimes I don’t want to either! Lol

ISO: Lysol spray for school.

New backpack! Jack said ughhhh Charlie’s is better than mine it has jellyfish! Not fair!
