The weekend
I taught Saturday and Sunday so mike was on duty. They met me at the pool after I taught and beforehand they went to the track at the school right next to the gym. Mike said they both had major tumbles within 5 minutes of being there. Sounds about right.
Sunday I worked in the evening and mike had Gigi/baba/Matt/Erica over. Including their new dog! (Their experiences with dogs (mainly Lola) haven’t been that great. Friday we went to our friends house and they just got a new dog. A HUGE puppy. Charlie was calling him “big Lola.” Every dog he compares to Lola. It’s quite funny. ) it sounded like Everyone had a good time!
These two boys in the pool are getting so good. Jack’s confidence is through the roof. Almost a little too much but we put him in check. He took his floaties off one day like two weeks ago and now he thinks he’s ready for the damn high dive. He really is doing great though. He can swim about 5 feet unassisted and I taught him to roll over to his back if he ever gets tired. And he was able to do it! He’s a good back floater like me! Charlie decided like a week ago he can put his face right in the water and float/swim. It’s like he’s testing his body and just feeling how the water feels around him. I gotta remind him to blow bubbles and move his body a bit because it can look a little scary.
Jack can finally make it across the stepping stones on his own! 5 months ago that wasn’t happening. I guess that’s what you get when theres a global pandemic and you go to the same creek every. Single. Day.
JAck has been asking to play poker so we did Monday night. It was really cute and fun!
