Thanksgiving

We traveled to Delaware for thanksgiving! Charlie went a day early (Tuesday) with Kelsey and her crew! He had a night away from us and without jack for the first time in forever? As I was driving him to Kelsey’s he said “me a wittle bit nervous.” Then he said “me no even miss you. Only daddy. Me miss you 2 and me miss daddy 6.” K buddy thanks. He apparently did awesome and was well behaved. He slept on an air mattress at the foot of Babcia and grandpas bed. He was up suuuuuper early 4:30? And laid in their bed singing “me bowieeeeee me Bowie.” Bowie = bored. I think he misuses the word and means tired. Cuz for real a4:30 wake-up is ridiculous. Anyways Wednesday we got packed up to leave the house at 8:40 for our closing for the sale of our townhouse!!!!! It finally happened. After almost 4 long months that house is no longer our problem. We’ll miss it but I know we’ll be happy at the new house for many many years. Then we went riiight to Delaware. Quinn slept for the first hour and a half then rode quietly the rest of the way 🤯🤯. She was an angel. We made it there with only a couple meltdowns from jack.

It was exciting to see Charlie after a night away and he ran right past me to Mike. Ummm ok? dadddys boy for sure. We had a yummy dinner then got everyone down to bed. Quinn was a mess the first night (first time in pack and play) and Charlie woke up screaming/scared twice. It was a terrible night. I didn’t sleep. I went back to bed for 1.5 hours once my mom was up and she/Kelsey graciously took Quinn and handled the boys. 

Thanksgiving! Yay. We went on a bike ride later in the day then to a new cool park. Then we came back to get ready for some delish food! Unbeknownst to us every single child was planning on having a complete and utter melt down right at dinner time. Like epic. It was not enjoyable at first but once we got food in these kids it was okay. Charlie and Mia did the best. Not that anyone asked. Phew. Then we did s’mores and sent these kids to bed. They were all

Basically begging to go to sleep. So. Much. Stimulation. The second night was much better! Boys didn’t make a peep until like 7 and Quinn just once at 3. We headed home and had a very quick and easy drive! Bike ride, park play, early dinner and back to bed.

The boys did this ninja warrior course at park and waited so patiently in a line like 10 deep. Each kid was going one at a time so they could time  themselves.
