Off to beach week!


The Thursday before we left we had jacks friend Ella over for some fun. She’s from his class and super sweet. They had fun!





They were sitting and coloring so nicely for a while 

Mike got up with Quinn the next morning and she fell asleep on the couch for another hour or two

We left for the beach at 5:45 so we could beat the traffic. And we did. The boys were great and Quinn screamed her head off for a solid 20 mins at one point but it was fine! 



We got in the area around 9:45, stopped at Aldi for some lunch then found an awesome shaded park! 





We headed to the house so we could park somewhere and head to the beach. Around 1 we were showering off and the nice cleaning lady saw us and said we could get in the house! We were supposed to get in at 4. THANK YOU nice lady! I set up Quinn’s pack and play in the hopes I could put her down. NOPE. I’ve never heard her scream the way she does when I put her down for a nap in the pack and play. Nighttime is fine but during the day she will lay down with me and fall asleep.  it’s annoying because I want to be at the beach and instead I’m here making sure gf doesn’t fall off a bed. I realize I’m doing this to myself but I can’t let her scream bloody murder forever in there. Just not that kinda mom! 





We immediately put a stop to this game

Night one Anna gave all of the kids a bucket. Mike put some music on and the kids danced and everyone put coins in their buckets. Yes like a street performer. Not sure how it started but they had so much fun and it was hilarious












They’ve been enjoying boogie boarding! They’re quite fearless

Jack with his relay team at the relay carnival!   So after the relay carnival we learn which teams made it to all-stars. The tradition is they go house to house delivering the all-star caps. I did say my kids were asleep in the group chat. Well at 9:30 pm jacks coach knocks on the door. I obviously let him come up to wake Jack up to share the big news 🤣😬🫣 when he woke up he asked if it was a Dream or real life  4th of July shenanigans.  Whirlpool  Eating the Watermelon from the watermelon relay  They’re inside a swimming cap. Didn’t know they stretched like that 😬 As the most random adventure ever we went to frying pan park. We had a coupon to ride the Ferris wheel so why not on the 4th of July?  Then firework time! January and the cruise!!

We were scheduled to fly out early Sunday morning, January 5th. The Friday before our bodies had other plans. We went to life time Friday evening and the staff came to grab me informing me jack didn’t feel well. I signed him out and asked Mike to come pick him up. While we’re waiting, jack tells me he’s going to get sick. I grabbed the nearest trash can and caught the vomit mid air. I stay and swim with Charlie and Quinn and Charlie starts to say he’s suuuper hungry.. which I think he confused for an upset tummy. Anyways, the 3 of us go to chipotle. Charlie barely eats and I’m thinking oh crap. I grabbed a brown bag to have in the car just in case. Well we needed it. The bag ended up Giving out and vomit ended up allll over my car. Boys in bed but both up for a couple of hours getting sick. Then that was it for them. As for me. Omg. Around midnight was my turn. Absolutely freaking miserable.
