Lately

Summer is coming to an abrupt end. It was a busy busy summer but filled with lots of fun, family time, swimming, partying and zero routine. I’m excited to have a routine back and the boys are super excited about school. Charlie I think is beyond excited. We got school supplies and he adamantly picked out each thing he needed with thoughtful consideration. He immediately asked if we could sort his supplies and jacks when we returned home. 

My amazing parents took Quinn last Wednesday to Delaware and we joined on Monday to gather our child and to spend a couple of days with Babcia and grandpa. Quinn was apparently soooo good for them all week and as soon as we arrived she let loose. All 3 kids were actually very emotional and just a lot. I think the busy summer is starting to wear them down. We had them in bed by 6:45 one night because they were just done. 




I immediately put the boys to work.

While Quinn was done we volunteered in the snack shack. You’re supposed to do two shifts a summer. The boys loved it.

Jack with his relay team at the relay carnival!   So after the relay carnival we learn which teams made it to all-stars. The tradition is they go house to house delivering the all-star caps. I did say my kids were asleep in the group chat. Well at 9:30 pm jacks coach knocks on the door. I obviously let him come up to wake Jack up to share the big news 🤣😬🫣 when he woke up he asked if it was a Dream or real life  4th of July shenanigans.  Whirlpool  Eating the Watermelon from the watermelon relay  They’re inside a swimming cap. Didn’t know they stretched like that 😬 As the most random adventure ever we went to frying pan park. We had a coupon to ride the Ferris wheel so why not on the 4th of July?  Then firework time! Still loving the makeup Mimi got her for Christmas 😒 Mike took off her training wheels and off she went! She’s so good on that bike and can handle over a mile bike ride. She wants to ride allllll the time. She’s wobbly on it and it scares the crap out of me but so proud of her.  Carpool ! Off she goes!
