Work

Yesterday I started a new job. It's right down the street and seems easy. I am definitely one of the older people there and perhaps the only one with Kids. You should have seen the look on my managers face when I told her I would need to pump during my shift... Priceless. It'll take some time for me to become a server but it's a mile from our house so that makes it worth it... I think. It's also super casual so jeans or even yoga pants are apparently acceptable. I got off at 10:45 and it felt like 2am. Both boys had a terrible night and I was up at 5:45 with them so I am feeling it! Yesterday before work I went to hang with my mom, Kendall and Mia with the boys. It had been a couple weeks since they had seen the boys and I think they were shocked at how much they had both changed! They really have!  Shout out to Gigi who watched the boys on Wednesday! Took her over an hour with traffic to get here AND the dogs ran out 😳 welcome to my loony bin! Seriously, thank you! We...

Back to reality

We are back to our “normal” routines. By normal I mean the gym, play dates, the pool, naps in the crib for Charlie, bath time, mike working, etc. I also start orientation for my job today. It’s at a restaurant a mile down the road. They’re only open in the evenings for dinner during the week and lunch/dinner on the weekends. It’ll take a little time for me to start serving but it seems like a good fit for the tile being sooooooo fingers crossed!  We went to Kelsey’s for the World Cup on Sunday. We had a great time and the cousins got to hang out too!  New suit from babcia! Yesterday he insisted on leaving the house with goggles and headphones on 🤷🏼‍♀️ Then later he wanted to leave with dads hat on and hold the umbrella. You do you boo!

More beach memories

Real life  Going to fly kites on the beach after dinner  First night home. Jack was NOT having it... we took the railing off of his crib since he was trying to climb out. Gahhhhh. It took mike 1.5 hours to get him to sleep the first night then just a couple minutes the next. We ordered a railing for his crib sooooo we’ll see if that helps anything.

Can you ask a nice question?

That was our motto for the week. Kate and meg are good role models because they both are very calm and patient with their children. I got some Good verbiage to use with Charlie and jack as they grow up. I loved being with family for the week. My sisters/brothers in law are so helpful and fun to be around. We had delicious dinners and drank all of the wine. I wish we were all together in the same state. We refuse to move to MN and they refuse to move to VA. We are at a stalemate. Jack did not want anything to do with his crib tonight. Like he will climb out of it given the opportunity. DAMN IT. He slept great in his pack and play during vacation for the first two nights then was not having it for the remainder of the vacation. Gahhhhh.  The drive home was fine. Long, but fine. Jack slept for a bit and Charlie was hungry/tried to sleep. Good to be home but we miss family!!  More pictures to come
