The GREAT outdoors

Image
I drove around and found us a new creek to throw rocks into. We did it for An hour.  Don’t mind the graffiti. No weird syringes or creepy stuff down there.  New patio furniture!  Charlie is such a lover. He’ll just kiss us randomly... on our feet, legs, arms, fingers. He’s hilarious and suuuuuper opinionated.  Jack wrote his name! He was really proud of himself and so were we!  He’s been really into his stuffed animals lately. Wants them both at night.  Manassas battlefield. Another great find!  I can’t. This child is too funny.  First dinner outside!  And a popsicle treat:)

My birthday, etc.

My birthday has come and gone, I’m 32. It was a strange day. My friend Sarah organized a social distancing appropriate small gathering in front of the house to sing me happy birthday. It was so very sweet and I felt so loved. I was given some things to entertain the boys with πŸ™ŒπŸΌ It was very thoughtful! Mike got me lots of fun stuff and we had a good day. I’ve been feeling sad and anxious and this whole quarantine thing just sucks. I feel helpless. Some moments it just hits me like a ton of bricks and other moments I’m fine. I think I’ve put off blogging because I feel dumb having these feelings and they feel selfish... there are people out there dying and getting really sick. And first responders and nurses/docs are putting their own lives at risk for these humans they don’t even know. But I think we all feel this way and it’s normal.  Anyways, the boys are doing amazing with all of This change. Jack is somewhat understanding we need to stay away from people because of the germs....

The outdoors save lives

Babcia showed jack how to use your shirt to hold more rocks.  Being quiet waiting for fish.  While charlie was sleeping jack and I played outside/I cleaned the basement. Also, While out there our neighbor offered a water table! Yes please.  Jack tried to push this tree down so we could walk across to the other side πŸ˜‚ he enlisted Charlie to help.  Look at Charlie About to fall πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦πŸΌ‍♀️ Thank goodness for the awesome outdoor areas around us!

New normal? (For now)

This is day 7 of ?? that we have been “practicing social distancing.” Anyone that knows me well knows that staying home for long periods of time is not something I enjoy. I really do hate it. I always make sure the kids and I have plans each day. I can’t recall the last time I didn’t leave the house once. All things considered we are doing just fine. We made a schedule and have been doing LOTS of scooting and going on lots of walks. I even got in 10,000+ steps yesterday. The boys are beasts on their scooters. Jack can steer and stop with purpose and Charlie is fast AF. Like speed demon fast. No broken bones yet.. knock on wood. Mike took some pto this past week about a month ago just because. Just happened to be during this time so he was off for a week. He went back today and I’m pretty anxious about it. I don’t want anything to happen to him and I don’t want the virus coming home with him. He’s going to shower at work And change his clothes before coming home 🀷🏼‍♀️  The boys ar...
